Meet Otoko – Our Guide in Bhutan 🇧🇹
Otoko, whose full name is Prabit Sharma, is a passionate and experienced guide from Bhutan with a deep love for culture, nature, and meaningful travel. With a background in business studies, he began his journey in tourism as a driver, but quickly advanced after completing formal guide training in 2014.
Since then, he has guided travelers from all over the world through Bhutan’s majestic landscapes – from high Himalayan treks to immersive cultural experiences. A few years working in Vietnam also gave him valuable international insight and broadened his perspective.
Now back in Bhutan, Otoko brings warmth, knowledge, and a genuine sense of connection to every tour – helping our guests create unforgettable memories in one of the world’s most unique destinations.

Gabriella Ekström
Gabriella has a deep passion for mountains – whether they rise in Africa, Asia, or Central Asia. She has traveled to more than eighty countries, including North Korea, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan, and has climbed in the Rwenzori, the Trans-Alay, and the Himalayas. Beyond mountains, she loves forests, oceans, wildlife, and especially birds. Biology, ethnology, and history run as a red thread through all her journeys.
Gabriella is skilled at storytelling, bringing both inspiration and entertainment to those who share the trail with her. For her, a mountain journey is about much more than altitude – it’s an opportunity to experience something deeper, to grow as a person, and to create moments that truly last. Gabriella has travelled with The Search Adventures both as expedition leader and guest. Her emphasis is making sure every participant feels safe, included, and valued. Her goal is for travelers to return home not only with lasting memories, but also with insights and reflections that remain long after the bags are unpacked.
